Frequently Asked Questions

What if I want smaller prints?

  1. An 8x10 can be created from multiple smaller prints (called units). There are many combinations which make multiple smaller prints of the same image or make smaller prints from multiple images.

What if I want bigger prints?

  1. No problem.  Larger prints to us are just 8x10’s that haven’t been cut apart.  For example you can buy a 16x20, which to us is the same as 4 8x10’s. We add a small fee for handling and shipping the oversize box, but even with that large prints are about the cheapest you can find anywhere.

Is there a minimum order?

  1. No, but we specialize in orders of large number of 8x10’s, and the prices reflect those discounts.  Orders less than 20 8x10’s are charged a substantial handling charge

To be this cheap, you must be using some really cheap paper?

  1. We use only Kodak Professional Endura E surface and Metallic paper ... no, not the thin amateur stuff but the same paper used by most professional photo labs in the U.S.

So how good is the color?

  1. We use state of the art digital photo printers just like everyone else.  We employ a fully color managed workflow, and the founders each have over 30 years of experience in photography and color production. (Both also are recipients of the Master of Photography degree from the Professional Photographers of America).  The lab  they operated in the 90’s was heavily involved in the early stages of digital silver halide printing, featured by Eastman Kodak several times in their keynote addresses at the annual PMA trade show during that time. They have been working with color management in digital printing for over a decade, and even teach workshops on color management and high end printing.

How long does it take?

  1. Any order received by 1:00 PM eastern time will be shipped the next business day.

If I order a large number of prints from the same file, how do I know I’ll like them?

  1. For single image orders, you can select a proof option, and for small extra charge we will send you 1 8x10 from the file and wait to print the order until we hear from you.

How do you order?

  1. Orders can be placed online using our version of ROES, the same software used by nearly every professional photo lab in the US.

You don’t have a phone ... how do I get a hold of you if I have a problem?

  1. Easy ... just send in a support request and you’ll get an answer right away.
